Prometheus Energy is a fuel company that produces, sells and distributes liquid natural gas, LNG. LNG is a clean burning, less expensive and safe alternative to diesel fuel and propane.

We produce this fuel from stranded and waste sources of methane. This allows us to produce fuel close to where it is used. The dramatic benefit: we can sell this fuel at prices below those of traditional fuels such as diesel, gasoline, and propane.

Making LNG Easy to Use

Prometheus has developed a complete array of transition resources to make using LNG easy. At the heart of this is our promise to handle the entire fuel supply chain, from the energy source to powering engines. Here’s how we do it.

Transportation

Not only does Prometheus design, manufacture and operate LNG systems, we also operate a fleet of LNG tankers capable of moving fuel from our LNG plants and refineries to our end-users.

Fueling Stations

Prometheus has developed strategic partnerships with suppliers in the field to specify, permit and install LNG refueling stations. From small portable “demonstration” stations to large commercial stations, our experts design, maintain, and operate state-of-the-art fueling stations and infrastructure.

Fleet Conversion

One of our key markets is transportation fuel for both public and private fleets. We employ expert engine and power-train professionals who work with fleet managers to convert diesel-burning fleet vehicles to clean-burning LNG-fueled vehicles. We also assist fleet managers in correctly specifying LNG powered new OEM vehicles from leading manufacturers.
